There is also electricity, running water a coffee machine as well as a toilet so you can happily work away all day.
COMMUNITY - Meet the crew - Get added to our WhatsApp Group, Invitation to join the weekly ride-outs (twice weekly in summer) as well as organise your own rides,, come on weekends away, plan work on bikes on weekends & plan trips away (See Rideouts section on website)
What are the opening hours & how do I get in ?
There is a digital smart lock on the front door, as well as an Alarm and CCTV. Members receive a unique code which gets them access anytime they like, 24/7.
What if I own more than one bike ?
That’s great!! We have a few members who are lucky enough to have more than one bike, and are happy to offer a larger space you can squeeze a pair of bikes into, or to discuss a discount if you’ve got 2+ bikes (keeping in mind we’re almost full already!)
***Update - we only have 1 space left, but do have an overflow garage for additional bikes - drop us a mail for details
What if my bike is a non-runner / work in progress ?
Thats totally fine, we love a project and have one or two of our own in the pipeline including an exciting E-Bike conversion and a 1970’s Norton, both of which will be getting brought to life over the first six months of 2020 and will be ready for the summer !
What if I don’t have a bike ?
Then you should get one! If you’d like to join the club, get to know everyone with a view to taking a space soon we have membership options which include being added to the group WhatsApp, invites to work weekends & evenings, as well as the workshop series & social events etc.
Can I build a bike from scratch ?
Sounds like a challenge to me !! Get in touch! We love bikes and are happy to support in anyway that we can. Old, new, bobber or café racer - we’d be interested in hearing your plans and supporting in anyway we can.
Do you accept Trikes?
If you’ve got a Trike and want to join we’re happy to accommodate - although we haven’t got much space left as we’re almost full already (thanks to all our amazing members so far!) - We do have another garage only 5 minutes up the road which is large enough to fit two trikes - drop us an email or a call to discuss
What about insurance ?
You must insure your own bike - simply inform your insurance company of the address.
The building is brick built, with a roller shutter door (bollard installed for additional security) as well as an alarm & CCTV inside and outside.
Ground anchors are fitted for your convenience, and any additional locks etc are welcome.
Do you rent short term spaces for visitor / tourists ?
We have additional space for short term stays as well as a separate garage close by which can accept up to six bikes for short term group stays - drop us a mail / WhatsApp or call us to discuss.
Why did you start the business ?
Because I live in Leith and I don’t have a garage! I used to store my bike in work which meant I rode it less and less, and had no where to work on it, servicing went out the window and it took me over an hour to get from my flat to actually riding the bike, and the same again on the way home!
I started Bike Park Leith to have a safe, dry place for my bike, close to my flat, to meet other bikers to ride with, and have somewhere to work on,. maintain and service my bike.
Those are all the benefits that members get
